Paloma Faith: Twitter Q&A Session.

Paloma recently took part in a Twitter Q&A. As with previous sessions it proved to be very popular with fans. Below you can see the questions that Paloma answered. 

What inspired you to write your new single 'Ready for the Good Life'?
'Ready for the Good Life' is about being fed up of everything being difficult and being ready for things to lighten up a bit. 

Does Diane Warren have any plans of making a song for you again? 
There's another Diane song on the new repack out on 10th November. 

Are you planning to release a music video for 'Ready for the Good Life'? 
There is a video being made right now for 'Ready for the Good Life' yes.  

Do you like Jessica Lange? 
I love her so much I want to be like her. She's more beautiful the older she gets! 

What are you doing for Halloween? 
We have a gig in Hull on tour that night, so we are calling it Hulloween. 

What's your favourite lyric from 'A Perfect Contradiction'? 
'We haven't said it but I know it, so hold me one last time before you go. You gave me so much to remember it was just the not knowing that hurt the most'.

What was it like recording a song with Shirley Bassey?
Amazing! She is kind and charismatic and a legend. I can only dream of being that amazing.

What was the idea behind your album? And what made you create a different but equally amazing album? 
I was ready to dance and I listen to loads of different types of music so I thought it would be good to reflect my taste. 

Do you consider yourself a feminist? 
YES! I am a feminist and proud.  

A few years ago, I saw you at the Comedy Awards, you were stood alone in the reception. Don't they let you take mates or a fella? 
I don't mind being alone sometimes it's easier! 

Would you ever open an art exhibition with all your fan art work?
Yes we are planning one as we speak! Wait for the call. 

What is your biggest passion outside of music? 
Film I think and love.

What's one thing you can't live without? 
None of us can live without water.

Do you like getting recognised? PS I saw you from a distance in Soho a few years back but didn't have the guts to say hi.
I'm glad you didn't cause I always feel shy and awkward believe it or not!

Favourite painter? 
Jenny Saville, Basquiat and Paolo Cohelo. 

If you could choose another artist to cover one of your songs, who would it be and which song? 
It would be Adele doing 'Only Love Can Hurt Like This' 

Is there any chance you could sort me out a couple of ticket for Brighton on November 21st it's sold out!
Book the arena tour in March! 

If you could design and style one artist (who you believe needs it) who would it be?I
I'm not going to bitch about other artists you naughty bugger! I'll tell you in private. 

What would you like your fan base to call themselves? 
The faithfuls and I hope you bloody well are! 

You're so quirky and funny I just love it, will you hug me? 
I will send you a virtual hug.

Who has inspired you mostly throughout your career? 
Lots of people: Shirley Bassey, Etta James, Tina Turner, Annie Lennox. 

Are you coming to Bognor Regis any time soon?
I'm there now and I'm watching you @NimMiller 

What is your favourite song at the moment? 
Iron Sky - Paolo Nutini. 

Describe yourself in three words? 
Bag of nerves. 

Describe your fans in three words? 
Loyal, respectful and sincere. 

How do you keep your vintage style popular in the ever changing music industry? 
I don't think I am vintage! It's futuristic! 

Hardest song to perform live? 
I think 'The other woman' is hard vocally. 

Where is your favourite place to perform? 
I love touring everywhere but the best responses so far have been Cardiff and Glasgow. 

Which song of yours (or not) makes you cry every time you hear (or sing it)? 
It's a song called 'Save me Tonight' by Liam Bailey. 

What do you think about Brazil? And the Brazilian fans? 
I really want to come to Brazil more than anything! I will ask my live agent. 

Who is your favourite designer at the moment?
I am obsessed with Dolce & Gabbana and Ashley Spencer. 

Which popstars would you collaborate with? 
Michael McDonald, Steely Dan and Mutya from the Sugababes, it was a tough call cause I love Andrea from The Corrs. 

Will there be more singles from the re-release other than 'Ready for the Good Life'? 
Yes there will be of course. 

What do you like to do in your spare time? 
Dry stone wall building, going to Yately or Winnersh triangle shopping for tidbits. 

How do you relax? 
Put hand towels in the toaster and dance to the Michael Bolton greatest hits while eating angel delight powder. 

You don't seem to have taken this Q&A very seriously. 
What makes you think that?
